Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University’s Swarrnim Institute of Law celebrated Constitution Day on Thursday with a blend of academic discourse and cultural participation aimed at reinforcing the spirit and relevance of India’s constitutional values. Around 100 students took part in the programme at the university’s Bhoyan Rathod campus in Adalaj, Gandhinagar.

Dr Dixit Patel, Dean and Principal (in-charge), opened the event by emphasising the importance of constitutional literacy among young legal scholars.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr Kanak Makwana, Principal, NavGujarat Law College, Gandhinagar, reflected on “the vision of Dr B.R. Ambedkar and the continuing relevance of the constitutional principles in democracy today.”
A panel discussion on ‘Constitution and Modern Challenges’ brought together faculty and students to examine judicial interpretation, constitutional amendments, and evolving socio-legal issues. The celebrations also featured an interactive constitutional law quiz, skits, and patriotic cultural performances, adding vibrancy and student engagement to the occasion.
The event was coordinated by Assistant Professor Deviya Patel, with student coordinator Hitansh Jayswal ensuring seamless execution.
