Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday said the state has so far received Rs 571 crore from the Union government for providing basic infrastructure in tribal-dominated villages under the Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojana.

He was speaking at a gathering in Ambaji town of tribal- dominated Danta taluka in Banaskantha district on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas and launch of the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’.
Union Fisheries Minister Purshottam Rupala attended the event in Dahod.
“The Centre under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has allotted Rs 571 crore for developing basic infrastructure in 2,803 tribal-dominated villages of Gujarat under the Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojana,” Patel said.
To strengthen healthcare facilities in tribal areas, the state government recently approved the setting up of medical colleges in Dahod, Valsad, Banaskantha and Navsari districts, the chief minister noted.
“Prime minister Modi has shown the path for the welfare and development of tribals living in the areas ranging from Ambaji to Umargam, from Valsad to Jharkhand and in the North-East region of the country. PM Modi gave us a system of bringing tribal people into the mainstream while keeping their customs, traditions and connection with nature intact,” said Patel.
Patel also said that Prime Minister Modi ensured “holistic development” and implemented the concept of “green growth” in tribal areas. He took steps to showcase tribal heritage and history to the world and started the tradition of celebrating the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda as Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, the CM added.
There was a time when India was dependent on foreign imports for fulfilling even small requirements, but Modi introduced ‘Make in India’ and ‘Make for the World’ initiatives, he said.
Thanks to Modi’s relentless efforts, Patel said, India has now become a manufacturing hub for several things.
“There was a time when all the smartphones sold in India were mostly imported. Now, thanks to PM Modi’s visionary leadership, these phones are manufactured in India,” he said.

The Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP), a Central Sector Scheme is being implemented by the Department of Land Resources (DoLR) with 100% funding by Government of India. The objective of DILRMP is to develop a modern, comprehensive and transparent land record management system. Substantial progress has been made in respect of land related matters through DILRMP. As a step towards healthy competition and monitoring among the districts, this Department has initiated grading among the districts. Platinum Grading is being assigned to Districts which have completed 99% and more work in six basic components. As on 26.10.2023, as per DILRMP MIS as fed by the States/UTs, 157 districts in 14 States have completed 99% and above work in following basic six components:
- Computerization of Land Records (RoR)
- Digitization of Cadastral Maps/FMBs
- Linkage of RoR with Cadastral maps
- Computerization of Registration
- Integration of Registration (SRO) with Land Records (Revenue Office)
- Modern Record Room
Under the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Department of Land Resources has planned for distribution of Abhinandan Patra / certificate to eligible villages and felicitation of Gram Panchayat / Village level functionaries like patwari/Lekhpal/Mandal etc. and Gram Panchayat functionaries like Sarpanch for achieving 99% or above in Digitization of Land Records as per schedule of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra through the villages. A digital version of the approved certificate has been shared with the States to distribute for felicitation through communication by Secretary, DOLR to 11 States covering 103 districts to start with.
In the first phase events relating to Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and distribution of Abhinandan Patra were organized.

Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dairying, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Dr L. Murugan graced the launch of ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ at Hillfort Matriculation School in Kotagiri area of Nilgiris District, TamilNadu.
Launching the campaign, the minister handed over cheques for agricultural crop loans of the central government to 17 farmers of Kotagiri.
Subsequently, he released awareness brochures explaining the central government’s schemes for the welfare and empowerment of tribal community.
Director of Indian Council of Agricultural Research Sheikh Meera, officials of NABARD Bank, officials of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, District Adi Dravidar Welfare Officer, Central Bureau of communication officials and a large number of tribal people participated in the program.
On this occasion, the program in which the Prime Minister participated in Jharkhand was telecasted live. It was enthusiastically viewed by the Union Minister of State and the public.
Following this, millet bags were distributed to the farmers on the occasion of international year of millets. The Minister presented certificates of appreciation to the students who won various sports competitions and also enjoyed the dance performance of the students.
Addressing media, the minister said that “In order to create a developed India, the Prime Minister of India has launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra along with host of other welfare schemes.

He said that, this yatra will create awareness among the public about the special schemes of the central government such as Ayushman Bharat, Jan Dan Yojana and Vishwakarma scheme and also will meet the beneficiaries of these schemes directly.
As far as Tamil Nadu is concerned, about 20 vehicles to be used in this yatra, and this yatra has started today in tribal areas as the first phase, which will be held all over India till 25 January 2024.
