Schwing Stetter India Private Limited (SSIPL), a leading concreting and construction equipment manufacturer and a 100% subsidiary of the Schwing Group of companies GmbH, Germany, on Monday announced that the increased spend on infrastructure development by the Centre had spurred demand for all ranges of construction equipment in the country. This will be a boost for ‘AtmaNirbhar Bharat’ initiative of the Centre as well as creation of more jobs in this major sector, a senior official of the company said. Here on Monday.
Speaking with navjeevanexpress.com, Schwing Stetter India Managing Director VG Sakthikumar said, “The company has introduced path breaking products in the Indian concrete industry and leading Indian concrete equipment industry from 1998. And in partnership with world No. 3 construction & mining equipment company XCMG introduced world class – Construction, Road and Mining equipments for Indian market. Its research and development centre helps in manufacturing world-class products which cater to the export markets like Brazil, New Zealand, South Asia and Africa. Presently, we supply to 35 countries, including Germany in Europe from where we used to import and assemble machineries in India.”
“Recently, the company had set up its 5th plant in Tamil Nadu at an investment of Rs 350 crore. As part of women empowerment policy, we have recruited over 25 percent woman technicians. Further, SCHWING Stetter India is the “Centre of Excellence” for training in concreting products in a partner to the IESC Skill Council and will be housing a modernized training center at its new facility, which will provide skilling to youth. Schwing Stetter has also taken up skilling of people as a major initiative to address the shortages in the industry. Our aim is to train more than 10,000 youth in handling concrete and construction equipment in the next few years,” Sakthikumar added.
Inauguration of SSIPL Dealership Outlet in Ahmedabad
To market & support Construction equipment range, Schwing Stetter is appointing dealers throughout India. As part of dealer network, SSIPL appointed M/s Shreenathji Infra Equipments, prominent business house based in Ahmedabad, to represent South & North parts of Gujarat State. This is the first dealership facility in Gujarat State under SSIPL’s 3-S dealership foot-print.
This is SSIPL’s First dealership facility in Gujarat State and the state-of-the-art 3-S Dealership facility was inaugurated by its Managing Director VG Sakthikumar, along with Vibhor Parikh, Dealer Principal, on Monday in Ahmedabad. Director-XCMG Business/SSIPL, PN Krishnakumar, commenced the first sale from the facility. The function was also attended by M Sezhiyan, National Head-XCMG CE Business, Pankaj Chawla, Regional Manager-Western India and other senior executives from SSIPL.
