In a celebration of creativity, innovation, and academic excellence, CEPT University honoured its brightest student minds at the CEPT Excellence Awards Monsoon 2025, recognising exceptional studio projects that reflect the future of architecture, design, and the built environment.

The awards reaffirm CEPT University’s commitment to nurturing visionary thinkers and creators whose ideas have the potential to shape cities, spaces, and communities.

National Jury Selects Outstanding Student Work

The CEPT Excellence Awards recognise exceptional work produced by students across studio units during the semester. Winners were selected by a distinguished jury panel comprising Steven Smith, Director, Urban Narrative; Suranjana Satwalekar, Founder, Satwalekar Design Studio; Apurva Parikh, Director, Multimedia Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (MMCPL); and Niki Shah, Director of Urban Design, HCP Design, Planning and Management Pvt. Ltd.

After rigorous evaluation, the exhibition showcases nine student projects and five studio projects, reflecting excellence in design thinking, technical rigour, and creative innovation.

Top Honours and ₹1 Lakh Gujral Foundation Excellence Awards

From among the shortlisted entries, the review panel selected:

  • Kosuri Ramanatham – Faculty of Design
  • Aditya Shankarasubramanian – Faculty of Architecture
  • Akshita Malik – Faculty of Architecture

as winners of the prestigious CEPT Gujral Foundation Excellence Awards.

These awards recognise outstanding studio work from the Monsoon Semester 2025 and carry a cash prize of ₹1 lakh for each winner, encouraging students to pursue bold, impactful ideas.

Professor Barjor Mehta, President, and Prof Tridip Suhrud, Provost, CEPT University, felicitated the winners and presented the awards in the presence of faculty members, students, and academic leaders.

Public Exhibition Showcases Future-Defining Ideas

The award-winning projects will be displayed for public viewing at the Lilavati Lalbhai Library, CEPT University campus, from February 21 to March 22, 2025, between 10 am and 8 pm.

The exhibition offers visitors a rare glimpse into the creative processes and visionary thinking of India’s next generation of architects and designers—ideas that could influence the nation’s urban and design future.
