CEPT University felicitated the winners of the CEPT Excellence Awards for Spring Semester 2025 at its inaugural and award ceremony today.
A jury comprising Suranjana Satwalekar, Spatial Design Consultant & Design Educator; Biju Kuriakose, Co-founder architectureRED; Niki Shah, Director of Urban Design at HCP and Apurva Parikh, Director, Multi Media Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (MMCPL) selected three studio units and 11 exceptional student projects for the awards.

Of the 11 CEPT Excellence award winners, Jehat G Mathai from the Faculty of Design; Dhyanam Sanjay Newaskar and Ranjana Rangarajan from the Faculty of Architecture, received the CEPT Gujral Foundation Excellence Awards for the spring semester. The award recognises excellence in studio work and comes with a cash prize of Rs 1 Lakh each, supported by The Gujral Foundation.
Professor Barjor Mehta, President, CEPT University and Ms Feroze Gujral, Founder and Director, The Gujral Foundation felicitated all winners in the presence of faculty members, staff and students. The event also marked the unveiling of the CEPT Excellence catalogue, which details all the projects selected for the Excellence awards this semester.
Instituted to strengthen CEPT’s teaching and learning culture, the Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding student work each semester.
The winning projects will be open to the public at the Lilavati Lalbhai Library is until October 10, 2025, between 10 am and 8 pm.
