Air Marshal Krishnaswamy Anantharaman VSM, the Air Officer-in-Charge Administration, Air Headquarters, New Delhi, has been awarded Param Vishisht Seva Medal for his outstanding performance in the force.
The awards of Gallantry and other defence decorations were approved by the President on the eve of 74th Republic Day celebrations.
The Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM) is a military award, constituted in 1960, and is awarded by the President in recognition of peace-time service of the most exceptional order.
“The Air Officer was commissioned in the Indian Air Force on 14th June, 1985. During 37 years of his service in the Indian Airforce, the Air Officer has tenated various appointments of Administration. The Air Marshal is a native of Tambaram, Chennai. He is a graduate of AM Jain College (BA Corporate Secretaryship) in 1983. The Air Officer is an M Sc (Defence Studies) and M Phil from National Defence College, affiliated to Madras University. He is a law graduate from Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur,” says the Defence statement.
