A Chennai-based NGO, Born to Win Foundation Trust, on Thursday announced that it has initiated distribution of 100 tonnes of essentials to the poor and downtrodden, old-age homes, orphanages, homeless people, migrants etc., says a release.
The NGO, under its Feed The Needy mission, so far distributed 72 tonnes of rice, pulses to the needy. It hopes to accomplish the mission to distribute 100 tonnes of essentials at the earliest.
As part of its philanthropic activities, the NGO also distributed 200 kg of rice and pulses to the families of media persons with the support of Zarook Shah and Shafiq Shah, Directors of Grand Square Mall in Velachery in Chennai and philanthropist Varsha Ashwini, the release added.
