Phoenix Marketcity, Chennai officially opened the doors to Holiday Land with the grand launch of Hello Kitty and Friends Fun Fair – a spectacular celebration that brought imagination to life for children and families across the city recently.
At the heart of this celebration was the magnificent decor – a vibrant, carnival-inspired installation designed to transport visitors into the charming world of Hello Kitty and Friends. With towering circus tents, spinning wheels, cushioned slides, and mini-Ferris wheels, every element of the décor was thoughtfully curated to evoke joy, nostalgia, and wonder. The installation also featured oversized Sanrio mascots and characters like Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pompompurin, Keroppi and Badtz-Maru — inviting little ones into a lively setting bursting with colour, music, lights, and laughter.

The event welcomed over 30 mom influencers and their children, who were among the first to explore this immersive space. Guests enjoyed a series of engaging activities including creative DIY corners by Skillo DIY Parties, delightful nail art sessions by Nails & Beyond, tasty treats from in-house F&B partners, and cheerful photobooth corners to capture the day’s magic.
As part of the Holiday Land celebrations, Phoenix Marketcity also hosted the “A Slice of Fun” Bento Cake Workshop on April 26th and 27th in collaboration with Food Consulate. Kids had a blast decorating their own bento cakes, adding a sweet and creative touch to the magical world of Holiday Land.
The excitement continues at Phoenix Marketcity, with a lineup of engaging activities that have already delighted visitors and more fun still to come! On May 3rd and 4th, kids aged 4 and above enjoyed a variety of DIY Activities, crafting their own stuffed toys, designing cool caps, and creating adorable candles. The sessions were a huge hit, sparking creativity and joy in young minds! But the fun doesn’t stop there!
