In dry Gujarat, a video of the BJP district president from Chhotaudepur allegedly in a drunken state went viral on social media. Later BJP leader Rashmikant Vasava tendered his resignation from the post as the Main Opposition the Congress and AAP questioned the ruling party about its ‘highly disciplined’ leaders and prohibition.

In the viral video, Rashmikant Vasava can be clearly seen stumbling. In fact, two BJP workers were seen helping Vasava to walk at the event. Vasava was also found sleeping while sitting on the stage during the event. The incident took place when the BJP in the tribal belt Chhotaudepur was celebrating Draupadi Murmu’s presidential win. BJP minister Nimisha Suthar was also present at the event.
In his letter of resignation, Vasava said that after orders from BJP state president CR Paatil, he is resigning. The bigger question is whether the BJP district president was actually drunk? The Gujarat BJP is tight-lipped on the matter.
Gujarat Congress president Jagdish Thakor took to Twitter and lashed out at the BJP and raised questions over the liquor ban in the state.
