The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General MM Naravane visited Jaisalmer Military Station for two days from Tuesday to Wednesday. During the visit, the COAS was accompanied by  Lieutenant General CP Mohanty, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command and reviewed the Indian Army Wellness Facility Centre established at Jaisalmer to facilitate the Nation to overcome the challenges presented by COVID-19., a Defence release said.

A total of 118 men and 171 women evacuated from Iran are undergoing the mandatory quarantine period at this facility. The Wellness Centre is equipped with all facilities to make the stay of quarantine people comfortable.  Women and men have been kept in different barracks as per their age groups.  A dedicated team of medical staff has been earmarked and placed at the Centre to monitor the residents.

Recreation facility for quarantined persons

All rooms have been provided with TVs and provision for indoor and outdoor sports has also been made for their recreation. The Centre has been isolated and jawans have been deployed round the clock for its security. Overall the Wellness Centre has been established to ensure that the quarantine people leave the place healthy.

The Army Chief lauded the efforts put in by the Southern Command and specifically the Konark Corps for helping the Civil Administration in taking care of the evacuated Indian nationals.

The COAS also visited the border areas and reviewed the operational readiness of the Indian Army along the Western borders while motivating all soldiers to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and operational preparedness through realistic and focused training, the release added.

सेना प्रमुख द्वारा सैन्य स्वस्थता सुविधा, जैसलमेर की समीक्षा।

 

जनरल मनोज मुकुंद नरवने, परम विशिष्ट सेवा मेडल, अति विशिष्ट सेवा मेडल, सेना मेडल, विशिष्ट सेवा मेडल, ऍड-डे-कैंप, सेना प्रमुख ने 17 मार्च से 18 मार्च 2020 तक जैसलमेर सैन्य स्टेशन का दौरा किया। यात्रा के दौरान सेना प्रमुख के साथ लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल सीपी मोहंती, जनरल ऑफिसर कमांडिंग-इन-चीफ, दक्षिणी कमान ने सैन्य स्वस्थता सुविधा की समीक्षा की।  जो की COVID-19 द्वारा प्रस्तुत चुनौतियों को दूर करने एवं राष्ट्र की सुविधा के लिए जैसलमेर में स्थापित है । ईरान से निकाले गए कुल 118 पुरुषों और 171 महिलाओं को इस सुविधा में अनिवार्य कोरेंटाइन अवधि से गुजरना पड़ रहा है।  सैन्य स्वस्थता सुविधा कोरेंटाइंड लोगों के ठहरने एवं उन्हे आरामदायक बनाने के लिए सभी सुविधाओं से सुसज्जित है।  महिलाओं और पुरुषों को उनके आयु समूहों के अनुसार अलग-अलग बैरकों में रखा गया है।  निवासियों की निगरानी के लिए चिकित्सा कर्मचारियों की एक समर्पित टीम को स्वस्थता सुविधा में रखा गया है।  सभी कमरों मे टीवी उपलब्ध कराए गए हैं और उनके मनोरंजन के लिए इनडोर और आउटडोर खेलों का प्रबंध भी किया गया है। सैन्य स्वस्थता सुविधा  को पूरी तरह से अलग कर दिया गया है और इसकी सुरक्षा के लिए जवानों को चौबीसों घंटे तैनात किया गया है।  कुल मिलाकर सैन्य स्वस्थता सुविधा को एक उद्देश्य के साथ स्थापित किया गया है ताकि यह सुनिश्चित किया जा सके कि कोरेंटाइन लोग उस स्थान को स्वस्थ होकार ही छोड़ दें।  थलसेना प्रमुख ने दक्षिणी कमान और विशेष रूप से कोणार्क वाहिनी द्वारा  विभिन्न जगह से लाए गए भारतीय नागरिकों की देखभाल करने में नागरिक प्रशासन की मदद के लिए किए गए प्रयासों की सराहना की।

सेना प्रमुख ने सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों का भी दौरा किया और पश्चिमी सीमाओं के साथ भारतीय सेना की परिचालन तत्परता की समीक्षा की, जबकि सभी सैनिकों को वास्तविक और केंद्रित प्रशिक्षण के माध्यम से व्यावसायिकता और परिचालन तैयारियों के उच्चतम मानकों को बनाए रखने के लिए प्रेरित किया।
