The young and talented swimmers under the expert guidance of Coach Amit Patel showcased their exceptional skills and remarkable performances at the recently concluded 39th Sub Junior & 49th Junior State Aquatic Championships 2023, held on Saturday and Sunday at Savvy Swaaraj Sports Club in Ahmedabad.
The team’s outstanding achievements, including numerous gold medals, new meet records, and a championship trophy, have solidified their place among the top contenders in the sport.
One of the standout performers of the championships was Venika Parikh, who displayed extraordinary skill and determination. Venika clinched the Championship Trophy in the Group-1 girls’ category, further cementing her reputation as a rising star in the swimming world. She went on to achieve exceptional results in multiple events, securing gold medals and setting new meet records in the following categories:
– 50m Breaststroke: Gold with a new meet record
– 100m Breaststroke: Gold with a new meet record
– 200m Breaststroke: Gold
– 50m Butterfly: Gold with a new meet record
– 100m Butterfly: Gold with a new meet record
– 100m Medley Relay: Gold with a new meet record
– 100m Freestyle Relay: Gold with a new meet record
Earlier this month she won 3 individual Gold medals, 1 silver in free style relay and 1 bronze in medley relay at the 66th National School Games 2022-23 – Swimming organized by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) helping Gujarat emerge at the 6th position in the overall medal tally.
Venika’s exceptional performance serves as a testament to her unwavering dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence. Her achievements not only reflect her individual brilliance but also highlight the exceptional training and guidance provided by Coach Amit Patel.
The team’s success extended beyond Venika’s outstanding performance, with several other swimmers demonstrating their exceptional talent and securing impressive results.
Nitya Rane showcased her skills in multiple events and contributed to the team’s success, earning gold medals in both the 4x100m Medley Relay and Medley Relay.
Prisha Desai’s exceptional performance in the breaststroke events earned her gold medals in the 200m, 100m and 50m Breaststroke, a silver medal in the 50m Butterfly and a bronze medal in the 50m Freestyle as well as a gold in the Medley Relay.
Darsh Patel displayed exemplary skills in the backstroke events, winning gold medals in both the 50m Back and 200m Back. Additionally, Darsh secured a silver medal in the 100m Back and a bronze in the 200m Individual Medley, showcasing versatility and strength in different swimming disciplines.
Furthermore, Noya Patel showcased her skills in backstroke, winning gold in the 50m Back, silver in the 100m Back, and bronze in the 200m Back. Dhriti Patel secured bronze in the 50m Freestyle and played a crucial role in the team’s gold-winning performance in the 4x100m Medley Relay.
Amyra Gandhi’s impressive performance earned her a silver medal in the 50m Breaststroke, as well as gold medals in the 4x50m Freestyle Relay and 4x50m Medley Relay.
