The NCC Directorate Gujarat has been winning the accolades of civil administration as well as the aam aadmi for lending a helping hand in containing the spread of COVID-19. Presently 637 cadets, 54 ANOs and 85 Permanent Instructors have been deployed at 20 places. All the five Group Headquarters under the Gujarat Directorate located at Ahmedabad, Rajkot, VV Nagar, Vadodara, and Jamnagar have been working relentlessly while maintaining close coordination with their units and the Directorate, a Defence spokesman said here on Thursday.

The Defence spokesman said, “The officers of 21 NCC units under the Group Headquarters have been actively involved in deployment of their cadets in support of the civil administration. More units are likely to join in as and when requisition from the Administration is received. The Commanding officers of these units have been playing an important role in terms of maintaining a close liaison with the administration, motivation, and training of cadets and ensuring that all precautions are adhered to while undertaking the tasks. The teams have been mainly employed for traffic management, queue management, food distribution and educating the locals on COVID -19 precautions. The cadets are divided into small groups and positioned at main junctions as per the requirement.”

Under the Jamnagar Group, the cadets have been mainly deployed at five main towns – Jamnagar, Bhuj, Gandhidham, Porbandar and Mundra. A total of 143 cadets, 28 Permanent instructors and 15 ANOs has been deployed under this Group. The cadets have also been deployed in two shifts at few places. Five NCC units have been involved under this group in support of Exercise NCC Yogdan.

Under VV Nagar Group, volunteer cadets have been deployed at five main towns- Anand, VV Nagar, Nadiad, Mahemadabad and Himmatnagar. A total of 189 cadets, 17 Permanent Instructors, and 14 ANOs have been deployed for assisting the civil administration. Five units under this Group are supporting the administration. At Nadiad, cadets are deployed in two shifts.

Under Rajkot Group, 126 volunteer cadets, 13 ANOs and 09 permanent Instructors have been deployed in Rajkot, Padadhari, Gondal, Junagadh, Keshod and Mangrol. Two units are involved in assisting the civil administration and more units are in the process to join in.

Under Vadodara Group, 34 volunteer cadets, 03 ANOs and 05 permanent Instructors have been deployed in Navsari, Bharuch and Ankleshwar city. Three NCC units under the Group are involved in the support of the civil administration.

Under Ahmedabad Group, 145 Volunteer Cadets, 02 GCIs, 13 ANOs and 23 permanent Instructors have been deployed in Ahmedabad city, Gandhinagar and Banaskantha. Cadets of six units under the group are involved in the NCC Yogdan, he added.

NCC યોગદાન કવાયત માટે ગુજરાતમાં 780થી વધુ NCC પર્સનલ નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા
કોવિડ-19 સામે લડવા માટે નાગરિક વહીવટીતંત્રને મદદરૂપ થવાના આશયથી ગુજરાત NCC ડાયરેક્ટોરેટ પોતાના કેડેટ્સની નિયુક્તિ કરવા માટે સક્રીયપણે સામેલ છે. હાલમાં 637 કેડેટ્સ, 54 ANO અને 85 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટરને 20 સ્થળે નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. ગુજરાત ડાયરેક્ટોરેટ હેઠળ આવતા અમદાવાદ, રાજકોટ, વલ્લભ વિદ્યાનગર, વડોદરા અને જામનગર ખાતે આવેલા તમામ પાંચ ગ્રૂપ વડામથક તેમના યુનિટ અને ડાયરેક્ટોરેટ સાથે નીકટતાથી સંકલન જાળવીને અવિરત કામ કરી રહ્યા છે. ગ્રૂપ વડામથકો હેઠળ 21 NCC યુનિટ અધિકારીઓ નાગરિક વહીવટીતંત્રની મદદમાં તેમના કેડેટ્સની નિયુક્તિ માટે સક્રિયપણે સામેલ છે. વહીવટીતંત્રને જ્યારે અને જે પ્રકારે જરૂર પડે તે અનુસાર વધુ યુનિટ્સ જોડાશે. આ યુનિટ્સના કમાન્ડિંગ અધિકારીઓ વહીવટીતંત્ર સાથે નજીકથી સંકલન માટે, કેડેટ્સને પ્રોત્સાહન અને તાલીમ આપવા માટે અને કોઇપણ કામ કરતી વખતે પૂરતી તકેદારીનું ધ્યાન રાખવામાં આવે તે સુનિશ્ચિત કરવા માટે મહત્વપૂર્ણ ભૂમિકા નિભાવી રહ્યા છે. ટીમોને મુખ્યત્વે ટ્રાફિક સંચાલન, કતાર વ્યવસ્થાપન, અન્ન વિતરણ અને લોકોને કોવિડ-19 અંગે તકેદારી રાખવા માટે માહિતી આપવાના કાર્યોમાં નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવી છે. કેડેટ્સને નાના ગ્રૂપમાં વિભાજિત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે તેમને જરૂરિયાત અનુસાર વિવિધ જંકશન પર તૈનાત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે.

જામનગર ગ્રૂપ: જામનગર ગ્રૂપ હેઠળ કેડેટ્સને મુખ્યત્વે જામનગર, ભૂજ, ગાંધીધામ, પોરબંદર અને મુદ્રા ખાતે નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. ગુરુવારે 143 કેડેટ્સ, 28 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટર અને 15 ANOને આ ગ્રૂપ હેઠળ નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા. કેટલાક સ્થળોએ અલગ અલગ પાળીમાં કેડેટ્સને નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. NCC યોગદાન કવાયતમાં સહકાર આપવા માટે 05 NCC યુનિટ આ ગ્રૂપમાં સામેલ છે.

વલ્લભ વિદ્યાનગર ગ્રૂપ: સ્વયંસેવક કેડેટ્સને પાંચ મુખ્ય શહેર આણંદ, વલ્લભ વિદ્યાનગર, નડિયાદ, મહેમદાબાદ અને હિંમતનગરમાં નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. કુલ 189 કેડેટ્સ, 17 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટર અને 14 ANOને નાગરિક વહીવટીતંત્રની મદદ માટે નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ ગ્રૂપ હેઠળ 05 યુનિટ્સને વહીવટીતંત્રની મદદ માટે નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. નડિયાદ ખાતે, કેડેટ્સને બે પાળીમાં નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે.

વડોદરા ગ્રૂપ: વડોદરા ગ્રૂહ હેઠળ 34 સ્વયંસેવક કેડેટ્સ, 03 ANO અને 05 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટરને નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. નવસારી, ભરૂચ અને અંકલેશ્વર શહેરને આવરી લેવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ ગ્રૂપ હેઠળ 03 NCC યુનિટ્સ નાગરિક વહીવટીતંત્રને મદદ માટે સામેલ છે.
અમદાવાદ ગ્રૂપ: અમદાવાદ ગ્રૂપ હેઠળ 145 સ્વયંસેવક કેડેટ્સ, 02 GCI, 13 ANO અને 23 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટરને નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. અમદાવાદ શહેર અને ગાંધીનગર તેમજ બનાસકાઠાને આવરી લેવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ ગ્રૂપ હેઠળ 06 યુનિટના કેડેટ્સ NCC યોગદાન કવાયતમાં સામેલ છે.
ગુજરાતના NCC ડાયરેક્ટોરેટના તમામ કર્મચારીઓ નાગરિક વહીવટીતંત્રને મદદ કરેલા તમામ પ્રયાસોની દરેક સ્તરે અને ફોરમમાં પ્રશંસા થઇ રહી છે.
