Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitinbhai Patel held a high-level meeting on Saturday to give an in-depth review of the works of Kevadia Railway Station Project and the under-construction Hotel project at Gandhinagar Capital Railway Station Complex, a senior official said.

The Chief Minister was briefed on the progress of the work of Kevadia Railway Line from Vadodara and Model Railway Station at Kevadia to reach the world’s tallest statue ‘Statue of Unity, by rail.
For this railway line project, the state government has completed the process of land acquisition in total 32 villages which includes 14 villages of Vadodara and 18 villages of Narmada district.
The Chief Minister urged the railway authority to complete the entire project on time by speeding up the construction work of Kevadia railway station and other facilities, including platforms.
A presentation was made to the Chief Minister on the progress of construction of the hotel being set up under the Garud Project at the Gandhinagar Capital Railway Station premises.
Civil work on the hotel project is almost complete and interior and furnishing work is currently in progress.
He also suggested that the remaining work be completed expeditiously as most of the work is already completed in the hotel project.
The meeting was attended by Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Kailasanathan, Additional Chief Secretary to the Revenuedepartment Pankaj Kumar, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister M.K. Das as well as Vadodara Collector Shalini Agarwal and Vadodara Railway Divisional Manager and Metrorail Projects S.S. Rathore remained present.
