Commodore C Raghuram commanded INS Valsura from May 31, 2018, to till date contributing immensely to the training and administration of this premier Naval establishment in the Saurashtra region.
Commodore Ajay Patney was commissioned into the Indian Navy on November 30, 1991, and was awarded the President’s Gold Medal for standing first in his Naval Engineering Course. He has done his Masters in Microwave and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and is also an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and Naval War College, Goa.
Commodore Ajay Patney has also been commended by the Chief of Naval Staff in 2003, FOC-in-C (South) in 1999 and FOC-in-C (West) in 1996. His major appointments include that of Additional General Manager (Planning) at Naval Dockyard (Mumbai) and Director at the Directorate of Personnel (DOP) and Directorate of Electrical Engineering (DEE) at IHQ MoD (Navy). The Commodore has also served onboard frontline warships Tir, Dunagiri, and Ranvir with distinction.
