Nagpur-based Confidence Petroleum India Limited, one of India’s leading LPG and energy solutions companies, has reiterated its commitment to full tax compliance and transparency following a recent search by the Income Tax Department.
According to official sources, the Income Tax Department conducted search and seizure operations at various business and residential premises associated with the company on October 7, 2025, which concluded on October 12, 2025. The department stated that the exercise was part of its ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and compliance in the petroleum and allied sectors.
In an official statement, Mr. Nitin Khara, Chairman, Confidence Petroleum India Limited, said: “At Confidence Petroleum, we have always maintained a policy of complete tax compliance and transparency in all our business operations. We have cooperated fully with the investigating authorities and provided comprehensive responses to all queries raised during the search proceedings.”
The company further stated that all records and financial documents were furnished to the tax officials and that its operations are conducted in full accordance with the law. “We are confident that once the authorities complete their due examination, it will be evident that the allegations lack substance. Our track record speaks for itself, and we remain focused on serving our customers with integrity,” the management added.
A senior official from the Income Tax Department, without referring to any specific entity, confirmed that the search operation was completed successfully, and that documents and digital records seized are being examined as part of the assessment process.
Confidence Petroleum, known for its nationwide LPG bottling network and auto gas infrastructure, said it will continue to cooperate with authorities and uphold the highest standards of corporate governance and statutory compliance.
The company reaffirmed that its business operations remain unaffected, and it continues to serve its partners and consumers “with the same trust and confidence” built over the years.
