Newly appointed Consulate General of Japan in Mumbai Dr. Fukahori Yasukata on Thursday met Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani here. He assured his country’s continued large-scale investments in the State through the upcoming Vibrant Summit and support the Atmanirbhar Bharat, says a release.

Commenting on this, Rupani said that after Covid-19, India’s role in the global economy has become important. Gujarat has become the best destination in India for FDI-foreign investment and industrial development.
Detailing on the all-round development of Gujarat, Rupani said that, if Japan and Gujarat work together strategically, they can surpass other developed countries in the world.
CM recalled the visit of the Prime Minister of Japan with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Ahmedabad. He said that Gujarat has been benefited immensely through this visit.
Rupani congratulated Japan for successfully showcasing its potential to the world by hosting the Olympic Games even during the difficult times of Corona.
The Consulate General of Japan assured his country’s participation in the upcoming Vibrant Summit. He also lauded on the outstanding performance of Indian athletes in the Olympic Games.
Chief Principal Secretary to CM K Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary of Industry Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Industry Commissioner Rahul Gupta as well MD of iNDEXTb Neelam Rani were present at the meeting.
CM also presented a memento to the Consulate General of Japan.
