Amul, India’s largest food brand is organizing India’s first 24-hour Non-Stop Facebook live session to celebrate Teacher’s Day, starting from 2 pm on Saturday, September 5 till 2 pm on Sunday, September 6, 2020. 200 Chefs will be part of this initiative and every 30 minutes a team of 3-4 Chefs will prepare together dishes and dedicate it to their teachers, an Amul release said.

The 24-hour cook-a-thon will be launched by the President of the World Association of Chefs Society, Chef Thomas Gugler at 2 pm on Saturday, September 5 and culminate with a session by Michelin Star Chef Suvir Saran at 2 pm on Sunday, September 6. Viewers will get a chance to learn the skills and tips from the chefs from 26 cities across 4 countries to enjoy making simple homemade recipes.
During the 24-hour Live Cooking Marathon, more than 1,500 viewers stand a chance to gift their favorite teacher in real life, with an Amul Chocolate, by sending their wishes during the Facebook Live. Every hour Amul will select 60 top dedications from viewers and send a Best Wishes Pack of Amul Chocolate on their behalf to their teacher.
Amul has been organizing 8-12 sessions of Facebook Live Cooking daily as part of its #SimpleHomeMadeRecipes campaign from April 17, 2020, to connect Chefs from hotels and restaurants with their consumers at home. Over 1200+ Live Cooking sessions have been completed in the last 140 days by 2500+ Chefs from 50+ Countries. Amul has been able to engage with more than 85 crore consumers from across the world during these 4 months with a total viewership of 120 million minutes with an average reach of almost 1 crore FB users daily.
Amul’s Facebook Live cooking session in Tamil and Arabic with their local cuisines is also available on Amul Tamil Nadu and Amul Arabia Facebook pages, respectively.
