Gujarat on Tuesday reported 18 new coronavirus cases, raising its cumulative tally to 8,26,326, while no fresh death due to the infection was registered in the state, the health department said.
With 26 patients getting discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, the tally of recovered cases in the state rose to 8,16,055, it said.
For the tenth consecutive day, no COVID-19 fatality was reported in Gujarat, keeping the toll unchanged at 10,086, said the department in a release.
The state now has 185 active cases, of which five patients are in critical condition, it said.
As many as 1.60 lakh people received vaccine shots against COVID-19 on Tuesday, taking the number of doses administered so far in the state to 6.73 crore, the department said.
Among districts, Valsad reported the highest number of five new cases, Navsari four, Rajkot three, Ahmedabad and Surat two each, Jamnagar and Junagadh one infection each, the release said.
The COVID-19 tally in the neighbouring Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu remained unchanged at 10,648 as no new case was reported during the day, officials said.
The number of recovered cases also remained unchanged at 10,640 as no new patient was discharged, they said.
There are four active cases in the UT, which has reported as many coronavirus fatalities so far, the officials said.
