City Prinicipal Sessions Court Judge S Alli on Wednesday sent Minister Senthil Balaji to judicial custody till June 28 after visting him at the Omandurar Hospital, where he has been admitted after complaining of chest pain.

Principal district judge S Alli visited the hospital around 3.45pm to ascertain the condition of the arrested minister and decide on the remand application moved by the ED. After inquiring about the condition of the minister with the doctors, the judge remanded him in judicial custody till June 28 and  permitted him to remain in hospital and continue treatment.

Orders on Balaji’s bail plea have been reserved after hearing arguments by by his counsel NR Elango and Additional Solicitor General ARL Sundaresan, who appeared for the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
