As part of the measure to contain COVID-19 pandemic along with government, the Sundaram Auto Components Limited (SACL), a group company of TVS has produced comfortable and durable face shields to support the essential workers including police personnel, healthcare, and sanitation workers.
The face shields are being produced within the company facility at Hosur in Krishnagiri district. These face shields are being designed with fully transparent plastic sheet for clear vision, with the swivelling mechanism and retainer system as per the set guidelines.
A company release said “we have ensured that the face shields are produced with special attention given to social distancing of the employees and also regular disinfection procedures for surfaces within workspace’’.
Officials of SACL handed over shields to District Collector S. Prabakar,
T. Kumaresan, Deputy Collector, C. Sangu, Deputy Superintendent of Police and K. Balasubramanian,Municipal Commissioner, Hosur on Friday, the release adds.
