NEW DELHI, APRIL 7

Digital transformation has been underway in most organizations across the world as companies have been exploiting the opportunities presented by technology to build their brand. Nevertheless, as industries now grapple with the COVID-19 situation, digitization has assumed an ever-higher form of importance.

Mark Wu, Executive Director of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) Strategic Marketing Department said, “Innovation has been a source of competitive advantage for Taiwan for many years. Taiwanese companies and brands have been developing a digital strategy, implementing it, and working with international counterparts to see how digitization can be enhanced. In the current healthcare situation, Taiwan has been relying heavily on technology to manage. In the future too, the potential for digital transformation will be limitless across the globe. Taiwan is more than happy to partner with other countries to harness the power of digital.”

As the future of production and manufacturing requires attention, countries like Taiwan are all geared up to leverage their significant manufacturing experience and strong technologies to exploit digitization in its fullest form. While Artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) and the Internet of Things (IoT) are already the norm for innovative smart applications, Taiwan has developed high-quality system integrations (SI) in a wide variety of fields utilizing these technologies. Taiwanese enterprises have upgraded using these systems which have also become key components in several other fields including learning, healthcare, transportation, smart living, as well as government and public services.

According to IDC, an international research and investigation institution, the global business opportunities derived from AIoT are expected to reach US$1 trillion in 2020. Taiwan is all set to play a crucial role in the semiconductors industry, which holds an important role in the information technology industry, with its exhaustive solutions to system integration. Taiwan is known to manufacture cutting-edge technology products that are trusted around the world lending it a seminal significant competitive advantage.

Taiwanese products like Advantech’s AMAX-5000 series of industrial IoT controller is the smallest communication interface design in the Core i class industry. Likewise, IIEI Integration is known in the smart medical market with smart medical vehicle system solutions that have already penetrated both domestic and foreign supply chains. Another leading product is Energy Management System’s (EMS) IoT-based smart water meters.
