Dakshin Bharat Area had commenced its COVID-19 vaccination drive in consonance with the launching of the nation-wide vaccination program by the Prime Minister on Saturday.
Keeping the overall aim of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and Force Preservation in mind, the DB Area, Southern Command of Indian Army in coordination with civil administration has commenced its vaccination drive in Southern India.
Three vaccination centers at Chennai, Avadi and Wellington began the Vaccination Drive focussing on Health Care Workers.
The remaining centres viz., Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur, Bengaluru, Belgaum and Secunderabad under Indian Army will also be joining in the Drive as per schedule in close coordination with State/National Authorities, a release from the Defence PRO said.
