Leading private sector bank CSB Bank and ICFAI Business School Ahmedabad, one of the best B-Schools in the country, signed an MoU on Monday to address the talent needs of the fast-growing financial services industry with a focus on banking. The two organisations also rolled out a joint certification program on the occasion.
The MoU, aimed at aligning the course curriculum offered by the business school with the needs of today’s banking industry, was signed at IBS Ahmedabad.
The MoU signing took place in the presence of ICFAI Business School, Ahmedabad, Director Dr Vivek Ranga and Shyam Mani, Head of SME and NRI Banking at CSB Bank.
“We are delighted by this MoU with CSB Bank. The partnership will lead to preparing our students better for the ever-growing and rapidly-evolving fields of retail banking, credit business, and digital and analytical platform,” said Dr Vivek Ranga, Director of ICFAI Business School, on the occasion.
The partnership between CSB Bank and ICFAI Business School would help students understand the role and expectations of the banking industry and equip themselves with the theoretical and practical skills accordingly to put them on track for fast career growth.
“CSB Bank is one of the fastest growing banks with innovative product offerings, and with campuses across the country, ICFAI Business School is the perfect partner to prepare and train students to meet the very specific needs of the banking and financial services industry,” said Shyam Mani, Head-SME and NRI Banking, CSB Bank.
The MoU is a win-win for all the stakeholders as the institute would be able to place its students, giving them a head start to a successful career. Banks and financial institutes would be able to recruit candidates who already know what is needed of them, thus reducing the training time for employees, and lowering the attrition rate.
CSB Bank and ICFAI Business school share a long and strong relationship as the bank has offered over 50 jobs across IBS campuses over the years. The MoU signing and rolling out of a joint certification program will further strengthen the relationship.
Dr Raavi Raghunath Reddy, Registrar at IBS Business School, Harsh Kumar, Chief Human Resources Officer at CSB Bank, and Vastav Pandya, Head – HRBP & Organisation Effectiveness at CSB Bank were also present at the MoU signing ceremony.
