As part of the partnership between Computer Society of India (CSI) and Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) in propagating G20 related activities, Coimbatore Chapter of the CSI and 7th Zone CSI jointly holding an online awareness programme on cybersecurity on Wednesday.
In a first-of-its-kind initiative, this ground-breaking session on online safety will be conducted in Tamil language for wider reach and awareness. The programme titled “இணைய பாதுகாப்பு-தேவை தற்காப்பு (Cyber Defence Strategies to Stay Safe Online)” will be conducted by Dr B Chidambararajan, Director SRM and former president of CSI Kanchipuram Chapter. He is also advisor of Natioanl Online Security and Data Security, says a Coimbatore CSI release.
Incidentally, the CSI is actively participating and disseminating the theme of Stay Safe Online through social media handles, websites and by conducting online/offline awareness programmes.
The participants will learn how to protect themselves from various online threats and equip themselves with essential defence strategies. This cybersecurity awareness programme will equip also equip those in rural and remote areas with new technology skills and help them emerge as Cybersecurity Ambassadors and experts.
