The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Sunday inaugurated Symphony Forest Park, developed by air-cooler major Symphony Ltd in the Bodakdev area of the city.
The dedication ceremony was held in the virtual presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. The inauguration was graced by Achal Bakeri (Founder, Chairman, and Managing Director of Symphony Limited), along with Ahmedabad Mayor Bijal Patel and her deputy Dinesh Makwana, Amul Bhatt (Chairman, Standing Committee). The ceremony was followed by welcoming citizens to take a tour of the forest park to rejuvenate with nature.
The forest park, developed under the public-private partnership, is well equipped with seating, children playing area, an amphitheatre, a temple, and a parking lot. One can enjoy walking through the grassland, dense plantation under the restful shade of tall trees. Symphony Forest Park will now be open for all visitors to refresh and relish the environment.
On this pleasant occasion, Achal Bakeri commented, “We are happy to hand over the Symphony Forest Park to our citizens today. This is to encourage more citizens towards nature trail and conservation of nature.
This place will become ideal for individuals, children, landscape lovers, nature lovers, bird photographers, and for people who wish to spend time with nature and with oneself. This is our small bit yet conscious step towards giving back to Mother Earth.”
Symphony Limited had adopted an urban landscape project to establish Symphony Forest Park. To revamp an abandoned patch of land ranging 11,000 square meters, which was rejuvenated to develop a Forest Park. The Park contains more than 250 plant species, 30,000 tree saplings, numerous species of exotic birds, and a resuscitated lake with aquatic species.
