Celebrated desi hip-hop artist Dhanji, known for his raw and original voice in the Indian hip-hop scene, has launched his latest album titled ‘Drive-In Cinema 2.1’.

Featuring 19 tracks, the album is a powerful tribute to Ahmedabad’s evolving cultural identity and youth expression.

Rooted deeply in the city’s vibe, Dhanji, who grew up around the iconic drive-in cinemas of Ahmedabad, uses his personal journey and musical artistry to reflect the city’s influence. Produced by Rasla, the album is a vibrant fusion of freestyle, lyrical storytelling, and contemporary beats that paint a sonic picture of Ahmedabad.

To mark the release, a special fan listening session was held at Vivanta Hotel, Ahmedabad, where early listeners experienced the album’s unique sound and message. Dhanji’s earlier album ‘Ruab’ was widely appreciated, and with Drive-In Cinema 2.1, he takes things a notch higher.

“This album is freestyle at its core. It’s raw, it’s real, and it speaks from the streets I grew up on. ‘Drive-In Cinema 2.1’ is not just music—it’s the new voice of Ahmedabad’s youth,” said Dhanji.

Producer Rasla added, “Ahmedabad’s experience and essence are embedded in every beat of this album. It resonates with Gujaratis not just in India, but across the world.”

The album explores modern Gujarati identity, language, and local pride through fresh hip-hop rhythms. It’s not just a music album—it’s a cultural movement that reflects Ahmedabad’s transformation and connects emotionally with the global Gujarati diaspora.

‘Drive-In Cinema 2.1’ is now available across major streaming platforms
