Curfew was lifted in Guwahati at 6 a.m.on Tuesday morning after the state government reviewed the law-and-order situation in the state. The review meeting was chaired by the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, on
day.
Curfew was imposed in Guwahati following days of protests in Assam over the amended citizenship law.
The administration in Dibrugarh also relaxed curfew in the district from 6 am to 8 pm, reports news agencies.
It was decided at the CM’s review meeting to lift curfew completely in Guwahati from 6 am on Tuesday. The meeting also decided to resume operation of broadband internet services in entire state Tuesday morning, said a statement from the office of the Chief Minister.
