India Post is redefining postal service delivery through technology, innovation, and customer focus, ensuring that its offerings remain relevant, reliable, and competitively priced in a rapidly changing digital landscape.

Highlighting these advancements during a ‘Customer Meet’ organised on Customer Day, the concluding day of National Postal Week, Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General, North Gujarat Region, Ahmedabad, on Friday said the Department of Posts has evolved beyond traditional mail delivery into a multi-dimensional service organisation connecting people, businesses, and global markets.
“India Post offers a wide range of services for corporate customers, exporters, and local entrepreneurs,” said Shri Yadav. “Through technological integration and customer-driven innovation, we are delivering world-class postal, financial, and logistics solutions at competitive rates.”
He added that the Department is leveraging digital tools to bring efficiency, transparency, and speed to its operations — ensuring that even in the age of smartphones and social media, India Post remains the most trusted link between citizens and institutions.

Empowering Exporters and Entrepreneurs
A key highlight of the event was the emphasis on Dakghar Niryat Kendras (DNKs) — specialised postal export centres that have become an effective platform for small businesses, artisans, and MSMEs to access international markets.
“Dakghar Niryat Kendra is emerging as a strong medium for local entrepreneurs to reach global markets,” Shri Yadav said.
With 57 DNKs across Gujarat, India Post is facilitating exports of ODOP (One District One Product), Geographical Indication (GI), and MSME products to nearly 200 countries, promoting the vision of ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
The Postmaster General also highlighted the availability of modern services like parcel pickup, packaging units, QR-based digital payments, and on-the-spot customs clearance at the Foreign Post Office in Shahibaug, Ahmedabad, and International Business Centre in Surat.
Technology and Customer Trust at the Core
India Post’s transformation is rooted in technological innovation — from online tracking and e-payments to AI-assisted sorting systems — all while maintaining the institution’s legacy of public trust and affordability.
Yadav noted that the Customer Meet was aimed at strengthening ties with bulk users and introducing them to new initiatives in Speed Post, Parcel, and Logistics Post services. He also felicitated valued customers, including the Transport Office, Gandhinagar, Revenue Department, and Life Insurance Corporation of India for their longstanding association with India Post.
The event featured presentations by postal officials showcasing various business and digital services, with active participation from exporters, government departments, and corporate representatives.
India Post continues to prove that even in a high-tech world, traditional trust combined with modern technology delivers the most reliable service — connecting India locally, nationally, and globally.
