The Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) announced that it has received the prestigious Promotion of University Research and Scientific Excellence (PURSE) Award during the National Science Day celebrations held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, on Friday.
Prof. M. Krishnan, the Vice Chancellor of CUTN, received the award from Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister for Science and Technology, Government of India, at the event.
The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, organized the National Science Day 2025 celebration, which was themed “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat.”
The event aimed to highlight the importance of scientific research and innovation in driving national development and inspiring the next generation of scientists.
