The Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment CVRDE, a unit of DRDO at Avadi in Chennai celebrated the National Science Day at their premises on Friday. The theme this year was “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for Viksit Bharat”.
To mark the occasion, NS Prasad, Scientist ‘F’, presented the Science Day Oration on the topic “Design & Development of High-Power Density AFV Engine” and highlighted various technologies utilized in design & development of Armoured Fighter Vehicles engines.

Rajesh Kumar, Director, CVRDE addressed the gathering and honoured NS Prasad, Scientist ‘F’ with Science Day award.
During his speech, he recalled the invaluable contributions of scientists and stressed to foster a spirit of scientific curiosity for delivering quality products under Make in India.
