The Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF Ahmedabad) 2023, the largest travel trade show held in Gujarat, has been buzzing with business meetings and successful interactions. Day 2 of the event witnessed presentations from various Indian states, showcasing their tourist attractions.

Commencing on Wednesday, TTF 2023 in Gandhinagar kicked off with over 800 exhibitors from across the nation and participants from 15+ countries. The overwhelming response has further strengthened TTF’s position as the leading platform for bringing the travel and tourism industry together. TTF Ahmedabad 2023 welcomed over 8,500 visitors on the first two days of the show.

Sanjiv Agarwal, Chairman & CEO of Fairfest Media, the organiser of TTF, said, “TTF aims to facilitate the growth of the travel and tourism industry by promoting networking and business growth. The exhibitors have generated considerable interest and hold confidence in procuring substantial business from the event. We are happy with the response that TTF 2023 has garnered.”
On August 24th, Thursday, at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, four state tourism boards, including Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir, delivered Destination presentations before a large audience, highlighting their diverse and unique tourist attractions.
Anil Talwadia, Deputy Director of Rajasthan’s Department of Tourism, spoke about the state’s innovative strategies for tourism growth. He elaborated on the expansion plans for hotels and tourist facilities in both, the established and the emerging destinations within Rajasthan.
In his presentation, Harsh Mittal, Manager of Marketing at Punjab Tourism, showcased Punjab’s plans to further enhance adventure and water tourism. He said the government is facilitating investments in the tourism sector under the ‘Invest Punjab’ initiative.
Vinay Kumar Roy, Director of Tourism, Bihar, said that annual tourist footfalls to the state have exceeded 2 crore. He expressed that the government is committed to attracting more tourists to Bihar by promoting wayside amenities and newer tourist facilities. The state is also coming up with a new homestay policy.
Tareeq Chaudhary, representing Jammu & Kashmir, underscored the significance of tourism in the region’s economy. He highlighted nature tourism concepts and the promotion of local culture through homestays as new initiatives undertaken to attract more tourists. He stated that efforts are being made to promote off-beat destinations in J&K, in addition to traditional tourist hotspots.
During the presentations, speakers recognized Gujarat’s significance as a vital tourist market for their own states. They lauded TTF as an unparalleled platform that fosters idea exchange and promotes business growth within the travel and tourism sector.
TTF 2023 is one of the most important gatherings of travel trade, evident from the scale of participation from all over India. Exhibitors, apart from the 24 Indian states, include international destinations like Armenia, Bhutan, Georgia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Nepal, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, The United Kingdom, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
