The Earth Day celebrations at Delhi Public School was a display of grandeur here on Monday! The day commenced with facilitating Earth Day awareness among students and the need to protect our environment. The teachers highlighted the importance of taking steady steps towards planetary conservation through various activities.
Students of Pre-primary participated in an activity; ‘The Magic of Composting,’ where they recycled tiffin leftovers and other organic peels from home. They put them in the compost pit specially dug for the activity. Moreover, students were briefed about the process of manuring. Encouraging ecological harmony, parents were asked to pack their child’s tiffin in either steel container thus paving a way for lifelong habit of enjoying a plastic free life.
Students of primary section made hanging art on the same theme. They also participated in quiz centring our planet.
The middle school also joined the wagon with soft board decorations which were a lively showcase of environmental mindfulness, with engaging posters and intricate artwork conveying messages of sustainability on the topic – Planet vs. Plastic. The students of secondary section performed a thought-provoking assembly highlighting environmental protection through a compelling narrative.
Overall, the Earth Day celebration in the school was a great reminder of our responsibility towards our planet. It was a great opportunity for all to come together and pledge to do our part in protecting our planet.
