In a major push towards capacity building and digital transformation, Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General, North Gujarat Region, inaugurated the Divisional Level Training Centre (DLTC) at the Railway Mail Service “AM” Division in Ahmedabad on April 17, 2026.
The initiative marks a significant step in enhancing efficiency in postal services through technological empowerment and continuous skill development. Certificates were also distributed to trainees who successfully completed the course on “Fundamentals of Generative Artificial Intelligence.” The event was graced by Piyush Rajak, Senior Superintendent, Railway Mail Service.
Addressing the gathering, Krishna Kumar Yadav said, “iGOT (Integrated Government Online Training) – Karmayogi platform has emerged as a powerful medium in this direction, through which modern administrative, technical, and management-related training is being provided to officials, resulting in continuous improvement in service quality.”
Highlighting the broader vision, he added that iGOT Karmayogi, launched by Narendra Modi under Mission Karmayogi, aims to deliver continuous, technology-based, and performance-oriented training. “Its objective is to provide continuous, technology-based, and performance-oriented training to all officials, making them more capable, accountable, innovative, and citizen-centric. This entire initiative is an important step towards realizing the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047.”
At present, 08 Divisional Level Training Centres (DLTCs) and 01 Regional Level Training Centre (RLTC) are operational in the North Gujarat Region, playing a pivotal role in capacity building. During the financial year 2025–26, more than 13,000 officials have been trained, including 10,000 through DLTCs and 3,000 via online platforms.
Emphasising the relevance of contemporary learning, Yadav noted that the Department of Posts is conducting diverse training modules via the iGOT platform, including Conduct Rules, Effective Communication, Post Office Regulations 2024, MIS Reports under Advanced Postal Technology 2.0, Managing and Leading Teams, and Fundamentals of Generative Artificial Intelligence. “Through these courses, officials are not only gaining technical proficiency, but their leadership abilities and decision-making skills are also being significantly strengthened.”
Among those present on the occasion were Assistant Director V. M. Vahora and Alpesh Shah; Assistant Superintendents Ritul Gandhi and Preyal Shah; Inspectors Sonal Desai, Vijay Rathod, and Ronak Shah; DCTC Trainer Sanjay Chauhan, along with other officials.
