Prione, a joint venture between Catamaran and Amazon, which enables SMBs in the fast growing digital economy, has powered the multifold growth of SMBs despite the disruptions posed by COVID. SMBs from Ahmedabad, New Delhi, and various other regions benefitted from Prione’s expertise and support by availing a variety of services such as onboarding, cataloguing, warehousing, online advertising, etc. to increase their business profitability on the online marketplace, says a release.
“Fortunately, with the support of Prione during the lockdown, we redesigned our advertising strategy, optimized and fine-tuned our advertising spends and channeled our visibility through effective campaigns. As a result, we managed to achieve 2.5x of our original sales target, in just 4 weeks! Prione has been instrumental to our success and the insights they share are truly invaluable.” said Monish Munshaw, CEO Coffeeworkz.
Speaking about Prione’s role in helping these businesses succeed, Sandeep Varaganti, MD and CEO, Prione, said, “As the world witnessed a paradigm shift in business models, SMBs will have to be educated about the power of digitalization, opportunities ecommerce brings and encouraged to upskill themselves accordingly. Especially in times such as these, SMBs will have to invest in the right online capabilities to ensure business continuity and succeed. We are glad we have been able to bring the benefits of online selling to small businesses and help them grow significantly.”
Coffeeworkz was onboarded to the ecommerce platform over a year ago by Prione to sell coffee equipment/ machines. The Brand was already a well-performing entity on the Amazon marketplace since they had a dedicated team to manage an online business. However, the onset of CoVid affected their business and their turnover declined significantly. By partnering with Prione, the seller was able to immediately identify challenges and take corrective action, including optimized and high-visibility advertising campaigns.
“Established in 2002, we have been in the business for almost two decades. We have witnessed a steady growth in the offline market and with the evolution of business in general, we were exploring the possibility of selling online. With Prione’s help, we started selling on the Amazon marketplace with decent sales. However, like any other business, the onset of Covid and the subsequent lockdown, disrupted our online and offline business, leading to a sharp fall in the revenue”.
