DMK-led UPA set to bounce back to power with over 160 seats in TN Assembly polls: ABP Network-CVoter

CHENNAI, NOV 19

DMK-led UPA is all set to bounce back to power with over 160 seats in TN Assembly polls. The ruling AIADMK will get only over 60 seats while actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan’s MNM will get 2 to 4 seats, says an ABP Network-CVoter survey.

Clash of the titans: It’s MK Stalin vs Edappadi K Palanisamy in 2021 TN Assembly polls.

ABP Network is the first media network to provide a glimpse into the nature of the political battle of Tamil Nadu to its viewers. ABP Network along with research partner, CVoter has conducted the first opinion poll survey for Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2021. This survey aims to gauge the mood of the voters and provide a clearer picture of the political climate of the state.

Last year, as the highly-dramatic Bihar Elections drew to a close, ABP Network’s Exit Poll was the only poll in the industry to hit the mark. It not only vindicated a prediction of a close fight but also produced an accurate vote share projection.

What’s more, is that this Opinion Poll marks the beginning of ABP Network’s reign in the southern region as the network is likely to soon catapult into the Tamil Nadu market.

The ABP Network-CVoter survey revealed that as per the public opinion, UPA is leading in Tamil Nadu with a 41.1% vote share (158 to 166 seats), whereas NDA stands second with a 28.7% vote share (60 to 68 Seats). Others grab the third spot with a mere 15.7% vote share (0 to 4 seats).

MK Stalin of DMK emerged as the most preferred CM candidate in the state with 36.4% votes, followed by Edappadi K Palaniswami of AIADMK with 25.5% votes.

As for the methodology and survey details, the CVoter survey reached out to a total of approximately 15000+ people in Tamil Nadu and was conducted through CATI (Telephonic survey).
