The DMK-led UPA alliance will sweep the TN assembly elections, said Triplicane-Chepauk DMK candidate and ‘Rising Son’ Udhayanidhi Stalin here on Saturday.
Campaigning near Peters Colony in Royapettah on Saturday night, Udhayanidhi Stalin assured that the Government Servants Rental Housing project will be raised again instead of commercial complex originally planned by the ruling AIADMK government. All frontline warriors, who had been ‘forcibly’ evicted, will be housed again in the redeveloped colony, he added.

Udhayanidhi accused the AIADMK government of cruelty in vacating the government servants when the corona pandemic was at its peak during September 2020.
When the DMK-led UPA government assumes power, it will again raise tenements, which was razed by the AIADMK government.
Udhayanidhi Maran was accompanied by Central Chennai DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran, DMK Chennai Central District Secretary Sitrarasu and party functionaries.

In the midst of his campaigning, Udhayanidhi along with Dayanidhi Maran paid floral tributes to late DMK leader and Tamil Scholar Kavikondal Ma Senguttuvan, who died recently.
The office-bearers of the Peters Colony Residents Welfare Association submitted a memorandum to Udyanidhi Stalin urging him to take steps to rebuild the rented quarters at Peters Colony.
DMK President M K Stalin had visited the residence of Kavikondal recently to pay his homage.
