Addressing reporters after laying the foundation for bore-well, drainage works, among other development workd, the Minister said he has been getting information that some private schools were holding the special classes.
This should not be conducted failing which the education department would seal the particular school and cancel the recognition, the Minister warns.
Schools will be reopened only after the public examination and evaluation answer sheets, he said. Schools should begin admission for Class XI only after reopening of the school.
If any school, be it private or government-aided and government school authorities, was involved in admission and collection of fees from the students, they would be pulled up, the Minister said.
No school should collect fee prior to re-opening of schools, he said. As the coronavirus cases in Chennai and neighbouring districts are spreading every day, the Plus 2 answer sheets from Chennai, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts were shifted to other districts for evaluation, Sengottaiyan said.
The Minister also distributed coronavirus welfare measures and sanitisers to 21 panchayats.
