The programme was unveiled in Bengaluru, India’s undisputed startup capital, aligning with the national vision of ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047’ by building a new generation of entrepreneurs capable of driving innovation-led economic growth.
The new Tech Startups specialisation focuses on rapidly expanding sectors such as EdTech, HealthTech, FinTech, Artificial Intelligence, digital platforms, and scalable technology-driven enterprises, equipping participants with hands-on skills in opportunity identification, business model creation, product development, funding readiness, and go-to-market execution.

Announcing the programme, Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII, emphasized Bengaluru’s strategic importance in India’s innovation landscape.
“Given the fact that Bengaluru is the hub of technology activity in India, and that Karnataka is at the heart of the startup boom, we thought that this would be the right place to launch our specialization in Tech Startups. Young people today are choosing entrepreneurship as a career option with a purpose, and EDII is committed to providing a clear pathway for the development of entrepreneurship that can make a difference to the growth of the nation in the coming decade or so and fulfill the dream of a developed India by 2047.”
His message underscores EDII’s mission—to shift India’s youth from job seekers to job creators powering the nation’s innovation economy.
