Schools are taking new measures to address drug abuse among students. Delhi Public School, Bopal, organised an impactful awareness session on Tuesday, the eve of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, to educate Grade 11 students about the dangers of drug use and the importance of making healthy life choices.

Over 100 students took a pledge of “Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs”. Umesh Pathak, assistant commissioner of Income Tax and NCB Inspector Anoop Kumar Gupta educated the students about the harmful effects of drugs and shared real-life cases. They also highlighted the risks and real-world implications of drug abuse and legal consequences. The experts urged the students to be vigilant and support one another in making healthy and informed choices.

ઇન્ટરનેશનલ ડે અગેઇન્સ્ટ ડ્રગ અબ્યુસ એન્ડ ઇલિસીટ ટ્રાફિકિંગ (International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking)ને લઇને દિલ્હી પબ્લિક સ્કૂલ બોપલ ખાતે અવેરનેસ સેશનનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. જેમાં ધોરણ 11ના વિદ્યાર્થીઓને ડ્રગ્સના ઉપયોગના જોખમો અને તંદુરસ્ત જીવન જીવવાના મહત્વ અંગે સમજાવવમાં આવ્યું હતું. આશરે ૧૦૦ થી વધારે વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ ‘સે યસ ટુ લાઇફ નો ટુ ડ્રગ્સ’ અંગે પ્રતિજ્ઞા લીધી હતી.

આસિસ્ટન્ટ કમિશનર ઓફ ઇન્કમ ટેક્સ ઉમેશ પાઠક અને NCB ઇન્સ્પેક્ટર અનૂપ કુમાર ગુપ્તાએ ડ્રગ્સની હાનિકારક અસરો વિશે માહિતગાર કર્યા હતા અને કેટલાક વાસ્તવિક જીવનના કિસ્સાઓ પણ શેર કર્યા હતા.

તેઓએ ડ્રગના દુરુપયોગ અને કાનૂની પરિણામો સાથે જોખમો અને વાસ્તવિક વિશ્વની અસરો પર પ્રકાશ પાડ્યો હતો. નિષ્ણાતોએ વિદ્યાર્થીઓને જાગૃત અને તંદુરસ્ત રહેવા સાથે એકબીજાને સતત મદદ કરવા માટે અપીલ કરી હતી.
ઇન્ટરનેશનલ ડે અગેઇન્સ્ટ ડ્રગ અબ્યુસ એન્ડ ઇલિસીટ ટ્રાફિકિંગ દર વર્ષે ૨૬ જૂનના રોજ આવે છે.
