Delhi Public School Bopal marked its three-day Annual Fiesta – Oorukkali 2023-24 – with spectacular performances by students, showcasing the country’s rich culture and their talent.
The Annual Day celebration for students of grades I to III took place on Monday on the theme “Arunodaya – Awakening the Spirit of India”. The event witnessed Aditya Abhinandan, a radiant tribute to the sun’s warmth. The evening celebrated India’s essence from diverse dance forms to honouring freedom fighters and brave children. It also featured a lively fashion show with a humorous take on India’s progress, applauding feats like the success of food aggregators and digital payments. It also touched upon the limitless opportunities for growth in India. Noted actor Makarand Shukla was the chief guest on the occasion.
Continuing the celebrations, “Colours of Life – Ek Jeevant Safar” by grades IV and V students unfolded on Tuesday. It revolved around the theme of Aman and Roop, embarking on a journey to understand the origin of colours. The cultural programme also included captivating performances such as Bhanu Stuti, Anupam Ethnicity, Absolute Atman, Fantasy Land, Limitless Sky, Khusbhoo Mitti Ki, Prakruti Ki Pukar, Harmonious Journey, and Euphoria.
Concluding on Wednesday, the Annual Day celebrations on the theme of “Navras – Ras Madhurya” saw students of grades VI to XII taking the stage. Drawing inspiration from the classical Indian concept of nine fundamental human emotions, the students breathed life into the emotions with mesmerising performances encompassing dance, drama, and visual arts. Renowned actor Shital Shah was the chief guest at the vibrant and culturally rich extravaganza.
Sabina Sawhney, Principal of DPS Bopal, lauded the children for their remarkable performances during the Annual Day celebrations. She highlighted the school awards and the outstanding accomplishments of students while presenting the Annual School Report.
