The new treatment was unveiled by Dr Batra’s® Group of Companies’ Managing Director and Trichologist, Dr. Akshay Batra along with Dr. Harin Dani, Senior Mentor. This therapy aims to solve hereditary hair loss using potent formulation and is clinically proven to show visible results in just three months. This cutting-edge innovative treatment represents the next generation of regenerative aesthetics and introduces the most advanced solution in the field of hair restoration and cellular regeneration.
XOGEN’s exosome therapy offers a natural and state-of-the-art approach to hair loss, elevating the science and safety of hair restoration. Exosomes, which play a vital role in regulating various cellular processes, serve as the foundation of this treatment. The process begins with the release of growth factor-rich exosomes, which migrate to targeted areas of the scalp, where they locate and latch onto damaged hair cells. Upon absorption into the hair follicles, the exosomes activate hair follicle stem cells and promote cellular regeneration.
Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Akshay Batra, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Dr Batra’s® Healthcare and the first Indian President of The Trichological Society of London (UK), said,“Hair loss issue has become a critical issue in India across both men and women, leading to social stigma, loss of confidence, depression etc. Some studies indicate that the onset of pattern baldness has decreased to 21 years while another study indicates 50% men and 22% women suffer from pattern baldness respectively which is alarming. To address this issue, we are excited to introduce XOGEN, a ground-breaking treatment that represents the future of hair restoration. Exosome therapy is a cutting-edge innovation that harnesses the power of regenerative science to offer our patients a safe, natural, and highly effective solution for hereditary hair loss. At Dr Batra’s®, we are committed to combining the best of science with holistic care, and XOGEN is a testament to that vision.”
Advantages of XOGEN treatment over hair transplants
When asked about the advantage of this treatment over hair transplants, Dr. Akshay Batra, said, “It is a targeted treatment and so there is use of medication or application of medicines on the follicles. The exosome reaches the hair follicles and the growth is 100 times more than any other treatment, making it most effective. It takes 45 minutes a session and we just need four to five sessions to complete this treatment.”
“There are 40 different types of hair loss and there are multiple treatments for it. You need to find out what is causing your hair loss and treat it accordingly. These days there are very good medical treatments where you don’t have to undergo a surgical procedure. And a transplant is not suitable for all and it will take over nine months to find its results. Further, hair transplant is very costly whereas our treatment is affordable,” Dr Batra added.
Food is the medicine
Dr Batra advised all to consume iron-rich and protein-rich foods. His simple mantra are, “One is that your diet and hair loss are closely related because hair cells need constant nutrition. It is important to consume iron-rich and protein-rich foods. The second thing is to try and avoid any parlour equipment as much as possible because it damages your hair in the long run. When you use a dryer on your hair, use a low-heat hair dryer or use it in cool mode because that can also damage your hair follicles. Use a mild shampoo, especially the one which has the right pH value.”
The exosome-based formulation found in XOGEN is designed to regulate immune responses, reduce inflammation, and create an environment conducive to healthy hair growth. Additionally, exosomes help stimulate the formation of new blood vessels, a process known as angiogenesis, which enhances blood flow and nutrient supply to the hair follicles, further supporting hair growth.
Dr Batra’s® Healthcare, known for its commitment to integrating science with natural treatments, continues to lead the industry with this latest advancement. XOGEN reflects the brand’s vision to offer innovative and safe solutions for hereditary hair loss, while promoting long-term hair health.
