She is well known and respected for her multiple innovations in Ophthalmology in the fields of cornea, cataract, glaucoma and keratoconus.

Keratoconus, a condition where the cornea thins and bulges outward, affects vision and can significantly impact quality of life. Dr. Jacob is an expert in treating Keratoconus with various techniques including the CAIRS technique which she innovated and which has not only provided new hope for patients but has also gained global acceptance among ophthalmologists and the eye care industry.
