Sudha Murthy — renowned author, philanthropist, and Rajya Sabha MP — inspired students at Adani Public School, Mundra, with a heartfelt and morale-boosting address that blended wisdom, simplicity, and life lessons. She urged students to value knowledge, discipline, and creativity, reminding them that true education goes far beyond exam scores.
The celebrated author received a warm welcome with a bagpiper band performance and an honour guard by NCC Navy and Army cadets. APSEZ Executive Director Rakshit Shah and Ami Shah, Director of Adani Public School, Mundra, were among the distinguished hosts.
Murthy visited a grand book exhibition on the campus, where a special stall showcased her works. She signed copies of her 50th book, The Magic of the Lost Earrings, gifting them to the school, and spent time interacting warmly with students.
In her keynote address, she encouraged young learners to respect parents and teachers, stay curious, and build strong moral character. “Education should not be just for marks in exams, but for knowledge and skills,” she emphasised. Warning against excessive screen time, she urged students to reduce smartphone dependency and cultivate the habit of reading good books to strengthen creativity and imagination.
She patiently answered questions from students, motivating them to face challenges with courage and patience. She also visited the school’s music room and the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL), applauding the hands-on learning environment that encourages innovation.
During her visit to Kutch, Sudha Murthy toured two of Adani Group’s flagship projects.
At Mundra Port, India’s largest commercial port and among the world’s top 10, she was deeply impressed by its automation, advanced logistics systems, and large-scale operations. “Every Indian should hold their head high. This port is a living symbol of India’s economic strength,” she remarked.
At Khavda Renewable Energy Park, the world’s largest (538 sq km), she praised India’s green energy vision. With 30 GW planned capacity — enough to power 50 million homes — she called the massive clean-energy project “a shining symbol of India’s sustainable future.”
Her words, warmth, and wisdom left a lasting imprint on the students of Adani Public School, inspiring them to work hard, stay rooted in values, and dream fearlessly.
