NE EDUCATION BUREAU
AHMEDABAD, JULY 8
What if your dream college came with little—or even no—financial burden?
For thousands of talented students, the biggest obstacle to higher education is not merit but money. Recognising this challenge, Navjeevan Express, in association with Buddy4Study, continues its popular Scholarship Alert series, bringing readers carefully curated funding opportunities that can open doors to world-class education, professional careers and brighter futures.
This week’s edition is particularly significant as it highlights six prestigious scholarships, including exclusive financial assistance for women in STEM, transgender students, aspiring engineers, artists and academically outstanding students from economically weaker backgrounds.
100% Tuition Support for Bright Students
The Satya Scholarship Program 2026, an initiative of the Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, offers 100% tuition fee coverage along with accommodation support for meritorious Class XII graduates from Punjab pursuing three to five-year undergraduate or integrated master’s programmes in Commerce, Engineering, Medical and Health Sciences at select institutions.
Empowering Women in Science and Technology
Women aspiring to build global careers in science and technology can apply for the MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship 2026, offered by MPOWER Financing.
The scholarship supports women aged 18 years and above who have secured admission to full-time STEM programmes at MPOWER partner universities in the United States or Canada. Eligible international students holding valid study permits or visas can receive financial assistance to pursue higher education abroad.
Engineering Dreams for Young Women
In another major initiative promoting gender equity in technical education, the Schaeffler India Hope Engineering Scholarship Program 2026 provides ₹50,000 annually, along with professional mentorship, to first-year female engineering students from economically disadvantaged families.
The programme gives special consideration to students with disabilities (PwD), helping them pursue engineering education with financial confidence and industry guidance.
A Dedicated Scholarship for Transgender Students
Among the most inclusive initiatives featured this week is the Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Transgender Scholarship Program 2026-27, implemented through Buddy4Study under the bank’s CSR initiative.
Open to transgender students across India studying in Classes IX to XII, undergraduate or postgraduate programmes through recognised schools, open schools and universities, the scholarship aims to remove financial barriers and promote educational inclusion for one of the country’s most underrepresented communities.
Supporting Emerging Artists
Creative talent also receives a major boost through the Inlaks Fine Arts Awards 2027, instituted by the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation.
The awards encourage emerging Indian visual artists by supporting recent graduates, postgraduate students and final-year students from leading art institutions, enabling them to further develop their artistic practice.
Helping Meritorious Students Continue Their Education
The Dr. Rajendra Prasad Scholarship Program 2026-27, another initiative facilitated by Buddy4Study, provides one-time financial assistance of up to ₹30,000 to deserving students from economically weaker backgrounds who successfully completed Class X or Class XII during the 2025-26 academic year.
The scholarship is designed to ensure that financial hardship does not interrupt a student’s educational journey.
As competition for quality education intensifies, timely information about scholarships has become as valuable as the scholarships themselves. Through its weekly Scholarship Alert, Navjeevan Express and Buddy4Study remain committed to helping deserving students discover opportunities that reward talent, promote inclusion and make higher education more accessible—whether the dream is to become an engineer, doctor, entrepreneur, scientist, artist or global professional.
Students are encouraged to check the eligibility criteria and submit their applications well before the respective deadlines to maximise their chances of securing financial support for their academic aspirations.
