In a move that energises India’s electric mobility wave, Tata Capital Ltd, the flagship financial services company of the Tata Group, has partnered with Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM) — a subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons Limited — to make owning Electric Light Commercial Vehicles (e-LCVs) simpler, faster, and more affordable.
Through this collaboration, Tata Capital will provide customised financing solutions across JEM’s range of advanced e-LCVs, helping startups, fleet operators, and entrepreneurs plug into the future of clean logistics. The partnership strengthens Tata Capital’s position as a full-stack vehicle financier driving India’s transition to green mobility.
“At Tata Capital, we aim to play an integral role in India’s EV adoption journey. By extending our financing solutions to JEM’s range of e-LCVs, our larger endeavour is to make it easier for businesses to access sustainable mobility at scale. This collaboration is a step towards supporting India’s transition to a future-ready transport ecosystem,” said Neeraj Dhawan, Chief Operating Officer – Motor Finance Business & DSMG, Tata Capital Limited.
Echoing this sentiment, Gaurav Jalota, CEO, Jupiter Electric Mobility, added: “We are seeing rising demand for electric mobility from businesses, especially small fleet operators. With Tata Capital stepping in as a reliable financier, our customers can bring e-LCVs into their operations more easily while transitioning to a cleaner, more efficient logistics. By pairing our advanced e-LCVs with Tata Capital’s financing, we are making the e-vehicle ownership journey more seamless for our customers.”
JEM, one of India’s leading sustainable mobility players, manufactures long-range electric trucks for last-mile and middle-mile logistics under its flagship platform ‘Tez’, delivering a real-world range of ~200 km and a payload capacity of up to 1.5 tonnes.
