Hiren Lathiya launches 500 new designs of sarees and kurtas
Hiren Lathiya is one such seller who has been associated with Flipkart for the past 6 years and caters to all kinds of ethnic wear for women. He believes that products should be value for money, only then one can have loyal customers which will help in the expansion of the brand and business. With that thought process in mind, Hiren with his team of 140 employees started preparing for The Big Billion Days and festive season in August.
Having experienced several Big Billion Days, Hiren said, his business sees 3x growth during this period and he has accordingly stocked up his inventory this year as well. “Last year we sold 9,000 products per day in comparison to 3000 products on a regular day.” Speaking about this year, Hiren said, “We are launching 500 new designs of sarees and kurtas this year and have a target of selling 80k products during the 6 days sale period.” The products reach the farthest corners of Bharat and that gives Hiren satisfaction and motivation to continue his business.
Anand Sarees opens warehouses in Kolkata, Banaras and Bengaluru
Ankur Tulsian from Anand Sarees has been a seller on Flipkart since 2015. Prior to joining Flipkart, Ankur had limited knowledge about e-commerce and its reach. Starting with selling 10 sarees a day, Ankur now sells 7000 sarees on an average per day on Flipkart.
With Surat being the primary city, Ankur has now expanded his business and owns 3 additional warehouses in Kolkata, Benaras and Bangalore. “The target was to ensure our products reach customers on time and in all parts of the country. So we set up warehouses in all 4 regions. All my employees start working at 8 am to ensure all orders for the day get dispatched in 24 hours.”
Speaking about this year’s Big Billion Days, Ankur said, “This is our 5th Big Billion Days. Last year we received 30,000 orders in a single day during this time, this year we would like to achieve even more. We started preparing in August and have made sure employees have been trained well in advance from packaging to labelling and dispatching. To ensure smooth business during this time, we made sure we have an additional back-up of everything, from manpower to laptops and printers. We even have additional space as a back-up.”
