Tremors were felt in Gujarat on Sunday evening. According to a preliminary statement by the National Center for Seismology (NCS), “an earthquake of magnitude 5.8 struck 122 km north-northwest (NNW) of Rajkot, Gujarat at 8:13 pm today”.
Many areas of Gujarat including Ahmedabad experience earthquake shocks. As the jolt was not heavy and COVID-19 fear, majority of the people remain inside their homes, says a resident in Gatlodia in Ahmedabad.
The epicentre of earthquake at Bachchav near Kutch reminds 2001 devastation, says a resident.
