After witnessing violent and bloody scenes in cinemas in recent times, the Tamil cinema audience, especially the children to relish a sensational and family sentiment-oriented Children’s film ‘Shot Boot Three’ to hit the screens on Friday.
The film written and directed by Arunachalam Vaidyanathan, who had directed the dark US-based paedophile thriller ‘Achchamundu! Achchamundu!’ During 2009.
The light-hearted children’s film is expected to warm up heart of cinema lovers. The film revolves around four children and a dog named Max.

Kailash (Kailash Heet), Pallavi (Praniti), Ballu (Vedanth Vasantha), Poovaiyar, a Super Singer winner-turned child artist living in a gated community.
The parents of Kailash are IT professionals. They have very little time to spend with their lone child. The same is the case of Pallavi and Ballu, both of whose parents are doctors.
Kailash is often forced to spend time lonely while his parents away from home to make money. The young Kailash who is longing for a sibling but when he realises that it will not happen, he picks the next best option to have a pet dog as his company.
Though Kailash’s mom Shyamala (Sneha) is reluctant to get him a dog, but his dad Swaminathan (Venkat Prabhu) convinces her to fulfill the wishes of Kailash to get Max, a golden retriever breed.
Max brings joy and satisfaction to not just Kailash but also two of his school friends.
One fine day, the parents have to leave for Mahabalipuram for a CSR programme of their company and Kailash opted to stay back at home with his pet Max. Pallavi and Ballu, too, joined with Kailash at his flat and make fun.
However, when Ballu’s maid leaves the door of the flat open by mistake, Max strays outside the gated community. The kids search for Max and step out of the compound. What happens is the rest of the story.
‘Shot Boot Three’ is a perfect children’s film that drives home all the right points through a simple story.
For instance, it stresses the need to be kind to all animals. It suggests to the people working in the corporates that it is not enough if their companies have Corporate Social Responsibility but they should show social responsibility at a personal level by lending a helping hand to the deserving people around them like Poovaiyar, who was the solution giver for all the flats inside the gated community.
The film ignites the minds of the parents not to underestimate the skillsets of their children.
While it gently tells children not to trust strangers, it also quickly stresses that they must not be judgemental and jump to conclusions about individuals.
All the four — Praniti, Poovaiyar, Kailash Heet and Vedanth Vasantha — delivers fantastic performances.
