Eight Ice Productions’ Gujarati film ‘Pratikaar’ shooting began with muhurat pooja in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
While films are being made on different subjects along with new experiments and based on literature in Gujarati, a new Gujarati film “Pratikaar” with the theme of women empowerment went on floor at the Tea Post on Sindhubhan Road in Ahmedabad.
In this film, well-known Gujarati film actress Mamata Soni is playing the lead role along with Adi Irani, Umang Acharya, Paresh Bhatt, Tripti Jambucha, Prakash Mandora, Bhavesh Nayak, Dilip Kumar Parmar, Neil Joshi, Kanchan Awasthi and others.
The film will be shot in different locations in a span of 15 days.
Speaking with this correspondent, Mamta Soni, who plays the lead role in this film, said, “As the date of 29th February also comes once in four years, films on the subject like ‘Pratikaar’ or ‘Resistance’ also come after many intervals.”
The story of ‘Pratikaar’ is written by Paresh Bhatt and the film is directed by Dharmin Patel and the camera is handled by Dhruv Bhatia A.
Famous singers like Arvind Vegda, Mayur Chauhan and Ritvi Pandya have sung the songs in the film which have been composed by composers Anwar Shaikh and Jimmy Trajkar.
“We are also happy that we were able to give an opportunity to the new and old actors of our last year’s program ‘Gujarati Cinema Premier League – Season One’ to be a part of the film,” said the producer.
“We are trying our best to make this film of excellent quality and to be liked by the cinematographic public of Gujarat and to attract them to the cinema halls,” said Director Dharmin Patel.
