Pride Hotels Limited — one of India’s home-grown hospitality chains — in partnership with Ekarth Group, on Sunday unveiled Pride Elite Gandhinagar, marking a major step in the group’s expansion across Gujarat and the Ahmedabad–Gandhinagar region. The new 72-room property strengthens Pride’s presence in the state and follows Ekarth Group’s foray into thriving hospitality sector, underscoring the consortium’s growing role in Gujarat’s hospitality landscape.

Strategically located for business and leisure travellers, Pride Elite Gandhinagar is positioned to serve government delegations, MICE groups and tourists visiting nearby landmarks such as Mahatma Mandir, Adalaj Vav and the Swaminarayan Mandir. The property blends contemporary design with practical amenities tailored for both corporate and celebratory stays.
“The launch of Pride Elite Gandhinagar is a significant milestone in our growth journey. Gandhinagar is rapidly emerging as a key destination driven by governance, infrastructure development and tourism initiatives,” said Atul Upadhyay, Executive Director, Pride Hotels Limited. “This addition reflects our strategy of strengthening presence in high-growth markets while offering guests reliable service and thoughtfully designed experiences.”
Property highlights
- 72 well-appointed rooms combining comfort and functionality.
- Signature F&B outlets: Casablanca — a train-themed, pure-vegetarian fine-dining restaurant — and Café Pride, an all-day dining venue with a rooftop experience.
- Unique rooftop offering: dining area with a Jacuzzi and curated table setups for candle-lit dinners, date nights and bespoke ceremony experiences.
- Banquet & events: multiple indoor and outdoor event spaces including a private dining room and an expansive rooftop for weddings and evening receptions.
Koustuva Mukherjee, Associate Vice President (Gujarat, Hyderabad, Goa & Telangana), emphasised Gujarat’s strategic importance: “Gujarat continues to be a priority market for Pride Hotels Limited. Gandhinagar offers administrative prominence and proximity to Ahmedabad — Pride Elite Gandhinagar has been curated to meet the evolving needs of business and leisure travellers with strong F&B offerings and versatile event spaces.”
Mukherjee outlined growth plans: “Of the 67 properties in our portfolio, 37 are currently operational and the rest are upcoming. Gujarat and the Union Territory of Daman together account for 20+ hotels — including six already announced — and six more projects are in the pipeline. By 2028, the group plans to reach 100 properties.”
Commenting on Ekarth Group’s entry into hospitality, Dr Ratnesh Patel, Managing Director, Ekarth Hotels, said: “With this partnership, Ekarth Group is formally entering the hospitality sector, and we are committed to delivering quality experiences that reflect Gujarat’s hospitality potential.”
Culinary direction for the hotel comes from Chief Chef Shailendra Singh, who noted:
“We not only offer authentic Gujarati delicacies but also curated fusion menus. Our chefs are equipped to cater to global palates — from regional favourites to continental choices.”
General Manager Anil Shah highlighted the property’s connectivity and appeal:
“Pride Elite Gandhinagar is conveniently located near civic and cultural landmarks, making it ideal for visiting delegations, cultural tourists and destination weddings.”
What this means for the region
The Pride–Ekarth tie-up brings a full-service hospitality option to Gandhinagar, widening choice for MICE organisers and upscale leisure travellers while cementing Ekarth Group’s reputation after its earlier role in introducing Ahmedabad’s five-star offering. The new hotel also supports local employment, vendor ecosystems and destination readiness ahead of major events such as the 2030 Commonwealth Games, where Pride has signalled selective further investment.
